QUEENSLAND RUGBY REFEREES ASSOCIATION (QRRA) (BRISBANE) INC.

The Queensland Rugby Referees Association (QRRA) is the peak rugby match official body in the state of Queensland. Working very closely with the Queensland Rugby Union, for almost 100 years the QRRA have provided whistle blowers to everything from junior/schools to elite level rugby in the Sunshine State with some of our members going onto referee at the highest levels including Super rugby, tests, World Cups, Premier Rugby and International Sevens tournaments.

Refereeing really is the best seat in the house and it doesn’t matter if you are 15 or 50, if you love rugby and are fit enough to get around the field, we want to hear from you. If you wish to join our ranks please send an email to admin@qrra.com.au.At the QRRA we put emphasis on culture and teamwork and as such we adopt a semi-professional attitude to the development of our referees. We conduct weekly fitness sessions for the whole association with our Premier Squad training up to four times a week. There are regular education nights and social events and we aim to keep everyone informed including players and coaches through our social media channels, Facebook and Twitter, and quarterly newsletter named aptly ‘Clear & Obvious’. Check out the latest news here.

This website really is a one stop shop on everything refereeing, you will find all the resources such as send-off forms, qualifications applications and ground locations you need here and information on future appointments for both Senior and Junior here.

The QRRA is run by an elected committee and they are only too happy to help and take your questions.
